FAQ

What is biblical counselling?

Jesus promises, ‘I have come so that you can have life to the full (John 10:10).’ That life can start right here and right now even when the gap between promise and reality seems only wide. Through the Word of God and by the Spirit of Jesus, Christ meets us wherever we are, and brings about that life into the midst of our sufferings and temptations.

Soo will guide and walk with you through conversations in a safe space so that you can process areas of your distresses, see things more clearly and find ways forward.

“I felt so anxious and hopeless when we started but now I know my hope is in the Lord and I am daily casting my care on Him.
If anyone was unsure about biblical counselling and wanted to speak to someone about their experiences I would be very happy to help.  “
-R.B., Derby

For whom?

There is no need to be a Christian to receive biblical counselling, but instead open to help and hope which biblical wisdom and truth provide. Be assured that your voice will be heard on how to go about it.

Fees

The initial meeting is £30 for up to 60 minutes. After that, sessions are £60 per hour for individuals and £75 for couples. We can meet either in person or via video call.

Please be in touch if you have any questions or concerns you would like to discuss.

How long does counselling take?

The length of counselling can vary as no one’s experience is the same. Soo invites each person to set goals together and offers help and guidance toward these goals at their own pace.

Usually, every 4-6 sessions, Soo will review your progress together but you have the freedom to end counselling at any time with a minimum of a day’s notice.

Where does counselling take place?

We can meet either in person (East Midlands) or by video call. Sessions can be every one or two weeks.

What is the process of getting counselling?

Once you contact Soo for counselling, she will send you the counselling request form to complete. Once the form is read, Soo will try to contact you within 2 working days and arrange an initial meeting for one hour with you to understand the area of struggle. During an initial meeting, we will decide together if this is a good fit.
