Soo Young Kim
Soo loves Christ and enjoys life in him with ever-increasing fullness (John 10:10).
She realised that she wanted others also to “have this life”, and completed the biblical counselling training, which changed her life far more than she ever imagined.
She provides biblical counselling across East Midland, UK and beyond, in-person and online. She can offer counselling in English and Korean as needed. . She has walked alongside people with a wide range of issues and struggles, such as fear, anxiety, stress, depression, anger, loss, trauma, abuse or relational difficulties.
Originally from South Korea, she holds certificates in biblical counselling with CCEF (Christian Counseling Educational Foundation) and finished her church-based internship with BCUK (Biblical counselling in the UK). She completed over 250 hours of supervised practice through the BCUK intern scheme and her MA in Counseling at Westminster Theological Seminary (the Applied Ministry Practicum). Also, she is involved in pastoral care in her local church.
She worked as a Recitation Instructor for the BCUK certificate course before she has the privilege to do a master’s degree in Biblical Counselling at Westminster Theological Seminary in Philadelphia, USA in the years 2021-2023.
